Terms & Conditions   

How to Enter    

1.1   To take part in the competition, entrants will need to comment publicly beneath the competition post on the SimplyBeefandLamb Facebook page with a BBQ related 'hack' - a useful tip or piece of advice that would help others have an easier or more successful bbq experience. For example it could be related to BBQ equipment, cooking methods, ingredients or the overall BBBQ related experience. Posts without a comment will not be valid for entry. Comments must be posted by 12.00 noon, Monday 11 July 2022.

One competition winner will be randomly selected by the Promoter (AHDB)

When to enter and who can enter     

2.1. The competition closes at 12 noon on Monday 11 July 2022   

2.2. Entrants can enter between 01 July and 12 noon, Monday 11 July 2022   

2.3. One entry per Facebook account is allowed (no multiple entries). If the same Facebook account posts multiple entries only the first entry (determined by date and time) will be eligible as long as that first entry has been correctly submitted in accordance with these terms and conditions    

2.4.  This competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary. Internet access is required.    

2.5.  The competition is open to residents of the UK aged 18 and over, excluding employees and agents of the Promoter and their immediate families and household members and anyone professionally connected with the administration of the competition 

Prize

3.1.   The prize for the winner of the competition will be one barbecue   

3.2.  The Promoter reserves the right to replace any of the prizes with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control makes it necessary to do so    

3.3.   The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered  

3.4.  The Promoter is not responsible for prizes that are lost or stolen in the post   

3.5.  The winner will be notified via Facebook within two working days of the closing date. A public message will be sent to the winner congratulating them on winning the competition. The winner must claim their prize by 12 noon, Friday 15 July by sending a direct message to the SimplyBeefandLamb Facebook account. If no direct message is received, the prize is unclaimed after this time and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner selected by random in accordance with the promotion rules. The process will be repeated until the prize is claimed    

3.6.  The Promoter will cover the P&P of the prize   

Data Protection and Publicity     

4.1. Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation. By entering the competition, you agree that the Promoter may contact you in relation to the competition    

4.2. The competition winner will be contacted by the SimplyBeefandLamb Facebook account. On being contacted, the winner will be asked to provide their name, telephone number and postal address in order to send their prize   

4.3.   The Promoter’s decisions regarding all competition matters will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into   

4.4 Details of the prize winner's first name, county and country will be available for one month after the close of this competition by writing to [email protected] 

Competition Rules    

5.1. The competition will be run and the prize will be awarded at the sole discretion of the Promoter   

5.2. The winner will be randomly chosen from all entries correctly submitted in accordance with these terms and conditions using a computerised system

5.3.  The Promoter reserves the right to check the validity of the entries  

5.4  Comments that do not include a bbq related hack will not be valid 

5.5. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry into the competition   

5.6. The Promoter reserves the right to change the competition rules and these Terms and Conditions from time to time. If we do so, we will always have the most up to date terms and conditions on the Website and in the case of a discrepancy between these terms and conditions and those on the Website, the Website terms and conditions will apply.  

5.7 This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Facebook   

5.7. By entering the competition each entrant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions 

Liability and Indemnities    

6.1. AHDB and its associated companies and agents and distributors exclude responsibility and all liabilities, whether direct or indirect, arising from:   
6.1.1. Any postponement or cancellation of the competition;   
6.1.2. Any changes to, supply of or use of the Prize; and   
6.1.3. Any act or default of any supplier, which are beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control   

6.2. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any liability arising from problems relating to the internet, or technical difficulties of any kind   

6.3. The Promoter shall not be liable for loss of profits, loss of anticipated savings, loss of goods, loss of use, loss or corruption of data or information, or any special, indirect, consequential or pure economic loss, costs, damages, charges or expenses   

6.4. You agree to indemnify the Promoter and Facebook against all liabilities, claims and expenses that may arise from any breach of this agreement    

6.5. No responsibility can be accepted for any entries that cannot be made, are incomplete, corrupted, delayed or not received for any reason whatsoever 

6.6. The Promoter reserves the right to remove an entry or comment that is threatening, abusive, harassing or invasive of a person’s privacy; sexist, racist, profane, blasphemous, homophobic, or otherwise discriminatory and/or offensive; promotes violence or advocate, condone, or assist any unlawful act; describe violent intentions towards other people or organisations; is pornographic, sexually explicit, obscene, or lewd; is used to impersonate any person or to misrepresent the participant’s identity   

Jurisdiction     

7.1. The Competition and these Terms and Conditions are governed by English Law. England & Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions.
